Development of technical documents

Technical specification is a document that establishes requirements for the quality of a specific product or group of homogeneous products.

Technical specification documents are an obligatory and integral part of the set of any design or other technical documentation for the manufactured products, and in the absence of such documentation it is necessary to have a full set of requirements for the products, including the manufacturing, control and acceptance processes and procedures.

All requirements, which are set out in the Specification, are established by the developer, but in no case in contradiction with the officially established requirements of technical regulations or other standards for this product.

The compilation order of the requirements of the technical specification was established in the standard GOST R 2.114-95 "Unified system of design documentation."

According to the above standard, all technical specifications must contain the following sections in exactly the following order:

  • Introduction;
  • Technical requirements;
  • Safety requirements;
  • Requirements for environmental protection;
  • Acceptance procedure;
  • Control methods;
  • Transportation and storage;
  • Instructions for use;
  • Manufacturer's warranty.

The list of data required for drafting of the Specifications:

  • Manufacturer's OKPO code;
  • Surname, first name, patronymic of the manager, the drafter;
  • Name, appearance of the product, list of modifications;
  • Technical description of the technological process;
  • Table of technical parameters (as complete as possible);
  • Complete list of components;
  • The procedure and conditions for the delivery and acceptance of products by the manufacturer's technical control bodies;
  • Control methods and means for conducted tests;
  • Packaging techniques and other packaging materials, as well as a list of accompanying documents put into the package;
  • Transportation (various types of transport and vehicles, as well as various transportation parameters);

Technical passport

The product passport is one of the most important technical documents for consumers, which contains information about the manufacturer's warranty, certification, recycling, the passport contains the product description and its technical characteristics determined by the tests at the manufacturer's factory or in an independent laboratory. The most detailed requirements for the development of a passport and other documents are described in the standard GOST 2.601-2006.

Contents of the passport:

  • General information;
  • Purpose and technical characteristics;
  • Product identification;
  • Completeness of delivery;
  • Design and technical characteristics;
  • Installation instruction;
  • Storage and transportation;
  • Terms of Use;
  • Acceptance certificate;
  • Manufacturer's warranty.

The list of data required for drafting a technical passport:

  • Name, appearance of the product, list of modifications;
  • Technical description of the technological process;

The safety case is developed in order to confirm the conformity of the products to the requirements of the technical regulations "On the Safety of Machines and Equipment" approved by the Resolution No. 753 of the Russian Federation Government dated September 15, 2009.

The document must contain sections according to the standard GOST R 54122-2010:

  • Main parameters and characteristics of the technical device;
  • General approach to ensuring the engineering security;
  • Requirements for reliability;
  • Requirements for personnel / user;
  • Operation (use) risk analysis;
  • Requirements for safety during commissioning;
  • Requirements for safety management during operation;
  • Requirements for quality management during operation;
  • Requirements for environmental management during commissioning, operation and disposal;
  • Requirements for the collection and analysis of safety information during commissioning, operation and disposal;
  • Safety requirements for disposal.

The composition and content of the safety case sections is determined by the drafter in accordance with the features of the product. If necessary, safety cases can be supplemented with other sections (subsections) or they may not include separate sections.

Operating manual

The operating manual is a technical document that describes the correct and safe use of the product.

Contents of the operation manual:

  • Purpose;
